GHS Newsletter 15.1 Spring 2013

GHS Newsletter 15.1 Spring 2013

After the last issue with the article on Nathan Simon, we received an article that Julia Smith had written for a course on local history at SUNY Cobleskill, and a song that the Hubbard boys wrote it performed online at http://hubbardfamilymusic.blogspot.com/search?q=the+peddler (click below picture to play). We also have reproduced a proposed 13th amendment to the Constitution mailed out during the Lincoln Administration perpetuating the institution of slavery—you’ve got to read that one. Claude and Norma Cook have given us a lot of information on Prospect Farms and I was able to save enough space for a large portfolio of pictures on the construction of the dam.
